Joint Service at St. Thomas’, Market Rasen
Our Methodist friends celebrate their annual Covenant Service this morning at the Chapel. In previous years we have joined together for this service. However, it has been decided that a more appropriate occasion to hold such a united service would be Pentecost Sunday, so we hope to have a united service on the 27th May.
We hope to restart the ‘Challenging Lifestyles’ course on Wednesday 25th January. The course, which is based on a talk by Nicky Gumbel, will run over lunchtime. If you would like to take part, please let me know.
Canon Andrew White is due to give a talk in York on the 6th February. David Post is hoping to go along to see him. Perhaps if you missed hearing him when he spoke in Market Rasen, or if you are interested in hearing him again, you might like to have a word with David, who can give you further details of the evening?
We received a letter from Charles Lommens in Koekelare last week, wishing us God’s blessing over Christmas and New Year. He also spoke of inviting us to visit later in the year, perhaps in either June or September. Watch this space …
Charles Patrick, Rector.
