The ‘Challenging Lifestyles’ course, presented by Nicky Gumbel, has got underway, but it is not too late to join us. We watch the DVD over coffee, and then have a discussion over a shared lunch. Please let me know if you are interested.

The Rev. Annabel Barber, Hospital Chaplain and Retreat leader, leads a Day of Reflection for Advent, entitled ‘Waiting with Mary’, in the Church Hall this Saturday, from 10.00 – 3.30pm. This is a chance to take time to prepare our hearts for the ‘coming of Christ’. To book, please telephone 838985 (evenings) or 07841 679818 (answer phone). The day costs £10, to include tea and coffee during the day and soup. Please also bring a packed lunch.

Next Sunday there will be a ‘Spotlight-lite’ in the Hall at 4.00pm. This will include worship and prayer, plus a focus on the ‘Open Doors’ charity, which works with the Persecuted Church. There will be a short DVD on their work, and an opportunity to donate to them. There will also be ‘posh’ biscuits and speciality teas and coffees. All are welcome.

Social Committee are planning a Christmas Lunch on Sunday, 11th December, with turkeys cooked by the Golf Club. The cost will be £7.50 (or £4.00 for Primary School age children) which is payable before the day. Please sign up on the list at the back of the church for what promises to be a very happy occasion.
